Centering Racial Equity and Adult Students in Pathways Design

DVP-PRAXIS LTD is serving as a continuous improvement evaluation partner for Racial Equity for Adult Credentials in Higher Education Collaborative (REACH), which aims to increase credential completion by 2% for adult learners of color at community colleges in California, Colorado, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. Funded by Lumina Foundation, REACH is led by state community college systems with guidance from national experts at the Education Strategy Group (ESG) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Education.

DVP-PRAXIS LTD is engaging with REACH states and institutions to document how they make progress in the three-pillar strategy of advancing equitable pathways, bundling student supports for pathways, and implementing culturally sustaining practices, with a focus on successful participation and outcomes for adult students of color. A related goal is to gather input from REACH states and colleges on the supports and technical assistance perceived as most useful in helping them make progress.
