Foothills F.O.R.W.A.R.D. Facilitating an Occupation-Ready Workforce by Addressing Regional Demands


DVP-PRAXIS LTD in partnership with the Belk Center for Community College Leadership and Research are serving as the project evaluator. Key objectives of the mixed-methods evaluation are to understand the student experience accessing and navigating resources offered through the collaborative model of Foothills Forward and to understand student success, retention, and completion related to colleges’ implementation of these new student supports.

Client:  Isothermal Community College, McDowell Technical Community College, Western Piedmont Community College

Partner: U.S. Department of Education, The Rural Postsecondary Education and Economic Development (RPED) Program

Methods: Mixed-methods evaluation design - administrative data, interviews and focus groups
